Quality Yarns and Fibers
Most of the spinning fibers, both plant and animal, are
presented
in beautifully prepared rovings, ready for spinning. The spinning
shop has been described as a “candy store” - shelves,
baskets and
drawers filled with an incredible selection ranging from natural-colored
cottons through ramie, silks, camel, alpaca, cashmere, mohair,
yak,
angora and more…. There are rovings of individual sheep
breeds,
merino and silk, dyed merino for spinning and felting. too
numerous
to list in a showcase
Yarns include a large selection of colors
in Harrisville Shetland and
Highland wools, undyed mulberry silk in a variety of weights,
tussah
silk singles, unscoured natural silk, UKI mercerized cottons,
unmercerized Valley Cotton, 8/4 cotton rugwarp, 8/2 Tencel,
linen for knitting, DK weight natural color alpaca. Rayon
chenille and Jaggerspun Zephyr are in the plans for the
near future.
